The phrase came to popularity in the 1950s by Los Angeles County Police Chief Bill Parker. 'Thin Blue Line' is a phrase which refers, figuratively, to the line between chaos and order (or alternatively, between criminals and the potential victims of crime), with Law Enforcement officers being that barrier between. Because the truth is, we should not all see everyone as the same! We are not the same! We are made of different colours and we have different cultures.
